Male Make-Up

Male make-up look. For this shoot I used very basic make-up techniques. I applied foundation and powder to create a flawless finish., bronze to his bearded area to enhance it, making it appear darker and creating a greater contrast from the face, I also fulled in Luke's eyebrows with a brown eyeshadow just to give it more definition.

Dayle's Shoot

For this shoot I created a very sexy yet simple look with the make-up. I did a solid smokey eye using black and gold bronzes with a thin line of black pot liner along the top lashes, a simple nude lip and bronze as blush.

Make-up Purchasing Hint

Before going out and purchasing  an expensive product that you may perceive to be a better product based on it's price,  go and check out this website http://www.makeupalley.com/ It lists all the different make-up brands and informs you which products are better and whether they are good value for money. It also rates the products out of 5, and allows people to leave reviews about the product so it is not just one persons opinion.

Tip 1

When trying to find the perfect shade foundation, always ensure you test the foundation in natural light. I personally like to test the colour on my chest as your face colour should match your chest colour, if the chest is burnt then test the foundation on the jaw line, so it matches the colour of your neck as one doesn’t want a red face. The correct shade for you will disappear on the skin. If you choose your foundation correctly you will look completely flawless with even skin tone, few blemishes and smooth appearance just what we all want, so ensure you pick the correct foundation and don't be scared to ask for help from the shop assistant, they are trained in this and that is what they are there for.

My First shoot: Smokey eye

For my first shoot, I wanted to keep the look very neat, safe and sophisticated showcasing a basic C-shaped smokey eye. The theme of my shoot was a sophisticated business woman so it needed to look very sleek, sexy and professional. I used black and bronze colour eye shadows, strip lashes, Bronze and a strong red lip to create the overall appearance.
